The server.properties file controls gameplay, access, networking, performance, and scripting settings for a native Minecraft Bedrock Edition server.

Edit server.properties

1

Create a backup

Create a server backup before changing several settings or an unfamiliar advanced property.
2

Stop the server

Stop the server so it does not overwrite the file while you edit it.
3

Open the file

Open the file manager and select server.properties in the server’s main directory.
4

Change the setting

Keep one property per line in name=value format. Use an accepted value and do not add spaces around =.
5

Save and restart

Save the file, start the server, and watch the console for an invalid-value or configuration error.
Do not change server-port, server-portv6, or other network fields unless Purpify instructs you to. The server must use its assigned network allocation.

Gameplay and world properties

Player and access properties

Performance and networking properties

Scripting and diagnostics properties

Leave advanced debugging, movement-validation, compression, and watchdog settings unchanged unless an add-on author or Purpify support gives you a specific value.
