Before you begin
- Start the server and wait until it finishes loading.
- Ask the player to join. The
opcommand does not work for an offline player. - Use the player’s exact Xbox Gamertag, including spaces and capitalization.
- Put a Gamertag in quotation marks when it contains spaces, such as
"Example Player". - Confirm that this is a native Bedrock server. For Bedrock players joining through Geyser, use the Java server’s permission system.

Open the console
Open the server in the Purpify game panel, then open its console view.

Confirm that the player is online
Wait until the player’s exact Xbox Gamertag appears in the console.

Ask the player to reconnect if the permission does not take effect immediately. The player can test a harmless command such as
