# Upgrade or downgrade a service

> Upgrade or downgrade an active Purpify hosting service from the billing dashboard.

Use the Purpify billing dashboard to change the plan for an active hosting service.

## Upgrade or downgrade

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the billing dashboard">
    Sign in at [payments.purpify.host/dashboard](https://payments.purpify.host/dashboard).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Active Services">
    Select **Active Services** from the dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Upgrade">
    Find the service you want to change, then select **Upgrade**. Use this action for both upgrades and downgrades.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose the new plan">
    Select the upgrade or downgrade you want. Review the displayed plan and payment details before confirming the change.
  </Step>
